Peer of the Realm Bonus?
Is the bonus not working currently? I'm not seeing an increase in the demense size for authority gain from the tooltip:

If you want me to take a look at your saved game, that's feasible. I have posted the procedure in the FAQ section, or you can also post it in the relevant Discord channel (give reference to this thread and your handle 'Pops' so I remember what is going on).

I think I understand now that you've explained it. So even though he has a plus 5 under the admin tooltip, the base demense size restricts that gain to 2 at the absolute most. I also checked the ruler, and he has the"focused" trait which cuts it by a quarter, rounding the total gain down to one.

I don't think the info is available in the tooltip in your screenshots. However, you can see the numbers change on your main faction screen under your coat of arms (or press N). One of the entries shows whether your demense size is over the limit and therefore cutting off your authority generation. Just try a few different characters as Peers and you can see how the number changes.

It doesn't seem to work for me either. I'm currently playing as Cordoba and cannot ever get over 40-50 authority bc the Peers bonus just never applies and fighting the Spanish is constant which messes with authority even more.

That one is the same as in the tooltip in the upper right, so it isn't working as described sadly. Wales starts off with a max size of 3, I'm not getting the +8 from the two peers of the realm I have

It's working, but there are limitations. You can't have a bonus from your Peers that exceeds the base value, which has generally been the issue each time the testers reported similar problems. Most nations face a conundrum: gaining authority while having enough regions to progress. As such, the game presents many obstacles to your expansion, but the AIs face the same issues.

A solution is to create vassals, which will lower the requirements to progress. There are other solutions as well. None are easy on purpose. Kingdoms is a slow burner. You can paint the map, but it will never be fast.

Ah, so it can't exceed the base value!! Thank you so much for the explanation, going to play the heck out of this.

One more question, I started a new game and my peer of the realm is increasing the allowed demense size for authority gain by 1 instead of the 5 in the tooltip. With no leader the size is 2, why is that?

No leader: https://steamcommunity.com/id/NeverTheHero/screenshot/2451727281253295716/

With Peer of the Realm:

Quality of leader abilities (AMP) makes a difference.

Yeah, it's illustrated in the screenshots. He has a 5 in admin and it says a + 5 to allowed demense size for authority gain. I'm only getting 1 more though. It's also under the base demense limit

A developer of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic.
