Especially if the rumors are true that this is technically an alternate Digital World, one run by a different entity than Yggdrasill (who was responsible for the X-Program disease, which led to 1% of Digimon developing the X-Antibody).

But as an Easter Egg or something (like the Legendary 10 warriors in Cyber Sleuth)?

Yeah, I'd ideally want to have a larger roster than what the Cyberslueth games had but I'd assume they'll focus on the story related lines more than others. With the game having English VA I'd wager that some things will be condensed for that purpose, I just hope they dont skimp on the roster for something like that.

That said I'd love to see side Megas, X-Antibodies and alt Digivolutions in general. Every option is more choice and I love grinding these games.

Since when did the games have to follow any of the movie's lore or the devs have to worry about an excuse to have certain Digimon when they could just do it for fun?

Since... that's how lore and writing consistency works?

Besides, that's why I said "maybe as an Easter Egg", as those do bypass the writing rule.

Yeah, pretty sure Digimon at this point is a confirmed multiverse, especially with some of the content from Cyber Sleuth involving Mirei and friends.

Honestly, that's fair.

Especially with a few of the high-level ones like Minervamon and most of the Royal Knights having X-Antibody versions.

They are unlikely to put them into a game that doesn't focus on the X storyline, as that'd make future X games hard to promote.

Spirit armor digimon were in hackers memory. They'll prolly add some x antibody mons but not a lot

But only a few, not all of them.

Spirits also don't need an entire storyline to get added. The X Virus filled 98% of al Digimon, leaving only X Digimon and a few stragglers. Unless they're just generic playable units given no attention, that really limits the roster to use X mons. They're better suited for gacha games.
