I think CS and HM had clothing you could purchase and change in to though.
Someone in another thread mentioned that this game will also let you choose your sex. But I haven't seen anything else aside from that.
Which looks terrible when you're, for example, trying to have her wear a pink shirt... but are forced to have her keep wearing those ugly yellow stockings.
That color clash is nauseating.
Personally, I like both the MCs designs, But I wouldn't mind having the option to change their outfits (they look better than those in CS at least)
The other outfits were pretty boring and bland to me. Hope Time stranger has better and more interesting outfits (both as DLC or in-game)
Look at Fields of Mistria, everyone there looks they came from 70's~early 90's anime.

Yes.
I like variety. But while I'm no fashionista, I've done enough in game decor and outfit to learn enough color coordination to know that the CS outfits really clash with everything.
(Plus, I've never been a fan of yellow)
Otherwise:
Digimon Story, localized as Digimon World DS, featured an unnamed main character[wikimon.net] that could be either gender, an amusing detail is that neither the boy or the girl feature goggles, perhaps a fitting detail, as World DS had a strong tie-in to Savers, and Masaru didn't wear goggles either, but then again so did Dawn & Dusk, and the MCs in those games wear goggles just fine.
Digimon Story: Sunburst & Moonlight, localized as Digimon World: Dawn & Dusk, had you play as Koh[wikimon.net] or Sayo[wikimon.net], notably, as we are all aware, Sayo and her Dianamon return in Cyber Sleuth.
Digimon Story: Lost Evolution, never officially localized but a finished fan translation exists, had you play as Shu[wikimon.net] or Kizuna[wikimon.net].
And of course, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth had our dearest Takumi and Ami.
Hacker's Memory stands out as the only Digimon Story game with an original cast, as Super Xros Wars was a weird anime spinoff, that didn't have a gender select option.
