This is a finished version of what started as a DOS shareware game from 1999 that had one playable level.

Playing the final finished game now has been a huge surprise with just how impressive everything about it turned out. The graphics are charming and detailed, the gameplay is as precise and responsive as you could ask for, and most importantly the stage design is incredibly good all the way through, with very tightly designed and interesting stages.

Also surprising was the sheer volume of content the game brings, it was far richer and longer than I anticipated. A very enjoyable and charming experience all in all, recommended!

Simple pixelart platformer game with good levels. Collect keys, use levers to open doors and fight bosses.
I also like the easy access, no tutorial, no complicated controls, just start playing. The game also runs very smoothly and the music fits the respective worlds.

The game is fun and challenging. Chop down the undead and monsters that are in your way and dodge traps to get to the exit at the end of of every level. There are also hidden gems to get.

An original mix of platform and battle Castelvania like.

The exploration of the levels are quite nicely done; to unlock some places and come back with a timer.

The only thing I was missing is a lash :D

For Baron of Blood, I would like to give a neutral review, but I don't want to give it a negative one either. The game is charming, but the abrupt camera mechanic gives me motion sicknes and makes the exploration frustrating, causing unnecessary deaths and ultimately making me abandon the game (I finished it, but would like to explore it again for the achievements). The common falling platforms also make backtracking hard, even on the first stages. Overall, I liked the game, but I feel I could enjoy it more... Maybe the developer can tune these details via updates if he wants.

I am a big fan of McCaw on twitch. After watching the stream where he played this game and gave the backstory I had to have it. To be honest, it has been a really fun game to play. It reminds me of some of the old PC platformers I used ot play back in the day and I really enjoined it.

a great game for anyone who likes pixelart platformer games. the level design is well done and the graphics are rustic but nice. linear structure, fighting to the next level and after a boss fight you move on to the next world. simple but challenging
