Having trouble with notes

So i am having trouble with notes in terms of notes behide another colour.

Like say it starts with one blue but then goes to many brown right behide that blue and its also showing its a hold with the electric wave pattern now say i want to collect that brown behide that blue without picking up that blue what are the steps to do so?


I have tried lots of time and only had few success but spite doing it few times without losing my streak, most times the outcome is. Well yeah end up getting hit losing that streak by trying to do so. But as said i know it can be done i have done it before or perhaps its just good luck timing getting into the small gap in those notes.

If anyone knows a way its meant to be done i would like to know.

I don't think they are meant to be collected without losing a streak. Could be a fakeout if you wanted to have a blue streak but didn't pay attention and it's brown behind. Or you can try breaking the first blue with an attack and then collect the brown, but that also loses you a streak

There's a very narrow window to side dash in without being hit by the bad note and still have time to activate absorb in time to get the good notes after it. That's really all there is to it. If you're just trying to beat the fights it's probably not worth the risk.

Oh thank you both of you. Yeah as mentioned i thought it just came down to getting within that small gap was the only way, but in the back of my mind i wanted to believe it was me screwing up the controls to achieve it another way like i was missing something.

Thank you for your time. I may spend bit too much time now trying to figure out the timing window and % of it all, cause when there is room for setting high score on the month leaderboard it to me be worth the investigation into.
