Is there any way to get both "good spirit" and "bad spirit" achievements in one file?

Do I need to start another save file to get the other one, or is there a way to go back to the sequence where you get rhem?

Yes what i did is once i got the good not dropping the light at the stage and followed the dog to get their leg back, what doing so gives you the good only then once you got the good one you can go cut the light off the stage on that persons head. what will give you the bad but also will lock you out of that world. As the only one that can see you will banish you.

tho in case this may be required i did however leave and come back to this world and then did the bad one tho it seem like that didn't matter i can totally see doing it all in one without leaving the world and back again.

Oh and forgot to let you know how to go back if you need to go back. Go to that hub island world you know with the blue dragon door and the time travel gateway and and such in the top right there be that fridge that be your doorway back.

I'm however not sure if by skipping to follow the person to the fridge when you first get to this world if by skipping that there is chance of no way of coming back when your done tho so if you don't see it then perhaps that might of happened like most people we are still learning the quirks of the game over time.

As said if you do the bad one first you be locked out you needed to of done the good one first to be able to do both at the same time. Perhaps tho there is still a chance without making a new save as i've heard when you reach the end you get to do it all again but a different soul colour. I haven't reached this point that i heard others say to know more of that tho.

But if that world is still lock off to you spite now doing the run again but different soul colour in the same save file after the end then yep gonna have start a new save then. Sorry i couldn't be as more helpful then that.

If you complete the initial stuff in the first 3 worlds (Neon District/Vegetable Kingdom/time travel land), and then you go fight the Mind Dragon as directed to, if you lose, you get sent to Summersville. Also I heard losing against something called the 1st Boatman fight will also send you to Summersville. If you're a kind spirit, it gives you a talisman that makes the Mind Dragon fight a little bit easier.

Otherwise if you lose to the Mind Dragon and haven't finished the initial stuff in the first 3 worlds, it throws you into an unfinished world so you can do the task there before trying to face the Mind Dragon again.

Alright, I've been unable to access it through either boatman encounter, so I think it's specific to the mind dragon.

It's very easy. You first proceed regularly without dropping the spotlight, rewarding you the good spirit, and then backtrack to drop it, rewarding you the bad spirit
