Moon blades not dealing bonus damage to Root of all evil?
I feel like I'm going insane trying to one-hit this guy. At first I was using the moon blades since there are a lot of blue attacks and those deal more damage with the blades. I'm able to absorb up to 78 attacks with them and he still doesn't die. I look up a guide and see that the person in the guide uses Ragnarok which has no bonus for blue, and kills Root of all Evil with 80 absorbed attacks. Then I decide to try with Ragnarok and reach 79 but I still can't kill him.

WHY IS THE MATH NOT MATHING?!

The Root of All Evil has 1,800 HP during the story and 7,000 HP in the Battle Colosseum. Other factors to keep in mind are that your player level affects your damage output, as well as upgrading your weapon. The other player might be a higher level than you and have max-upgraded Ragnarok.

Yeah turns out he had the bandana which I had missed. Also you can’t beat Root of all Evil in the first encounter without raven flying you away first. Or it’s super hard at least.

Pretty sure Ragnarok also has the highest super dmg out of the weapons. I used lvl 5 moon blades and I think I needed like 84 notes or something crazy like that to one shot it. Best bet is to just keep grinding at it until you have enough notes. Definitely one of the hardest one-hits in the game.
