Co-op/team victory?
Wanted to play this with my gf, does this game have a co-op/team victory? Been trying to search for answers and came up empty

no but yes. there are different ways you can win in this game, the main way is by holding nexus. the other ways are by having say the most culture, highest economy, etc. At the end of each match players will get recognized for their contributions. It's kind of hard to explain but you and your gf could play as a "team" and help one another win. You could hold nexus, and she could support you and have the strongest economy - so at the end of battle you two will be recognized the most as being superior in different aspects. How you go about that win is up to you. I recommend picking up the game and giving it a shot, it's sort of hard to explain in a comment.

Only one player can win. But scoring second place isn't too bad, you still get a lot of progression done.

Alternatively for a kind of co-op experience, you can have one of you play and share screens with the other (or just physically sit at the same computer) and just work together making decisions and playing one faction that way. Not exactly an in game coop but Im doing that with a friend and its pretty fun.

but you cannot setup fixed teams on startup? That is a shame, because I typically don't like FFA that play over a short period.
