Sorry but i have two questions

I bought this game yesterday with my brother(2 copies)
for lan play!

1.today I want to create a lan play room, it showed up that ask me to enter the cd-key....
but I did that yesterday!@@
why??

2.this game is already in my trust list of win7 firewall

but everytime I creat a lan play game

my ping is always 1000 @@
so does my brother's (1000,too)

and when we are playing(I am the host), In my screen his movement is lagged!
(like transporting) but in his screen it's just normal.....


plz anyone can help me?><

Yes, right click the raven shield game in your list and press view cd key

is it steam asking for the key in shift-tab menu or raven shield?
for shift-tab i kinda remember a check box for most games saying remember this key or something when you enter it?

as for the high ping it could be a million things.. try both pluggin into router with ethernet cables if u can

I solved the ping problem by using the xp sp3 mode and run as administrator~

but the cd-key part is from raven shield not steam....

these days if I reboot my pc and then start the raven shield to creat a lan game

it will asked me to enter my keys AGAIN!!!

well if u can just enter it then its not that bad. maybe try installing raven shield 2.0?

it improves the game in so many ways like ai, bug fixes, hd textures, etc without changing core gameplay. its a must have imo since the games so old and not being updated anymore

and here follow this to disable the goggles in raven shield 2.0 if u want, i find them very annoying

edit and place a "//" in front of the line "m_PlayerCtrlToSpawn=RVSComple­te.RVS2PC" in your Ravenshield.mod file then save

*backup ravenshield in steam first

The CDKey thing happens to almost everyone on Steam. As for the ping, it is bugged. You have to run the game under Windows XP compatability to have it show the real ping value. It dosn't really matter though as you are not actually getting 1000ping.

The CD Key reset is pretty annoying, primarily when trying to play Athena Sword. When AS makes me put in the CD key, I actually have to close the game, launch raven shield, join a game and plugin that CD key, then quit and go back to AS... and finally enter the AS key.

Annoying.

There is a pretty easy way to remove the cd-key thingy, but I am not sure, if I am allowed to post it.

Raven Shield 2.0 only changes two things: Graphics and AI.

fyi, you can switch to athena sword when you've launched raven shield without restarting: go to options, then custom game, then double-click the mod you want to activate.

i was amazed the other day when it actually didn't ask me to re-enter my cd key for once!
