Rainbow Six Classic Steam Release, What Can We Do To Make This Happen?
Can someone give me a straight answer to why hasn't the classic Rainbow Six games ever been released on steam yet? Rainbow Six 1, Eagle Watch, Rogue Spear and all the wonderful expansions from that game.

These games would clearly sell again if all the bugs were fixed. Maybe add some new graphic effects like bloom, motion blur ect. Of course optimization so it can be played flawlessly on today's rigs.

Bugs that I've seen from the classic games on my rig, Windows 7 OS GTX 970 are strange transparent texture glitch, flickering screen, crashing, and the dreaded stuttering in the briefing/planning room. These games need to be updated big time.

What can we do? Seriously.

Well need to somehow find a way to get it onto the greenlight I think. Someone would have to get Ubisoft to do this, I think. The game is available on GOG.

I tried playing the older games like Rogue Spear and I'm running into a lot of problems still even when using the Dgvoodoo wrapper, I can only get Rainbow Six 1 and Eagle Watch to play perfectly.

I don't know, LAN works for sure, but I think there are some old servers probably. I more want the game for the single player campaign that's based off the book

Man I finished the oil rig mission in the first Rainbow Six and the tension, atmosphere, tactics, use of sound still holds up very well. I'm tellin you guys supply and demand, we have to start demanding those games back and optimized for today standards.

Supply and demand. I'm not talking some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ GOG crap I'm talking steam release, fully optimized. If all the Delta Force games got released on steam and still work why hasn't the classic Rainbow Six games come back?

We need to find someone who can get it one greenlight. It will be accepted very quickly, but we would need permisision from ubi

Running a new Raven Shield server with with classic maps from:

Rainbow Six + R6 Eagle Watch
R6 Rogue Spear + Urban Operations + Covert Ops
R6 Black Thorn
R63 Raven Shield + Athena Sword
And Custom Made Fan Maps

Mostly legit good maps that are hard to find now a days. Some we grabbed from here. Respect SSHQ!

Add on Steam: wtf was that & ViolentMinds

I also frequently play Company of Heroes 2 on PC.
I run BATTLEFIELD 4 and RAINBOW SIX R6 SIEGE on PS4 (ViolenceWithin) for now.

We will be on almost daily/at night during the winter so come play some rounds.

Classic R6 has been abandoned and team moved on. Couple of guys that were involved are still trying their best http://www.groundbranch.com/
Remember that Valve takes 30% cut on sales so I think Ubi abandoned this as it is not worth their time

That's why they we need to let ubi know that most of the community would buy the original Rainbow games. They should start with a giant sale to announce it. Remeber when they released the orignial X wing vs tie fighter on steam and did the large star wars product sale. I don't know anyone thats older than 20 that didnt buy x wing vs tie fighter...

So now that you know someone who didn't buy and I am 34 how on earth can you force Ubi to release re-mastered classic R6? It takes money and resources, and looking at what they offer R6 is clearly not within their interest? Why? Money. It's easier to make dumb shooter for kids or online one and pretend it is revolutionary, than it is to make tactical game for demanding and adult audience. Back then it was PC, you had to know at least basis of TCP/IP to connect Rouge Spear for LAN play. Today? Consoles and dumb online shooters spoil PC games. That's why I have my hopes in Ground Branch.

Why not just come play Rainbow Six 3 Raven Shield. Still classic but still half decent graphics and my server alone is running original Rainbow Six, Rogue Spear maps

Sure I do. I am as well annoyed by shortcuts that AAA publishers take and how they earn money on cross platform arcade style games that attract masses. I still play them though. And yes I am excited about GB as well, and if BlackFoot Studios pulls that off it will be the biggest news in a decade! Well, fingers crossed!

Question though, is the Rainbow Six Gold edition a remastered one? Will it run on GTX980Ti?
