Usually when you join a server in game, people will see you and start joining within a few minutes even if the server was empty as there are players browsing who aren't on Discord as well. However, on the Discord, to find players easier:

1. Get game notifications by clicking the game's icon emoji in #game-roles
2. When you want to squad up, you can go to #rainbowsix3 and tag `@Rainbow Six 3` when you want to find more players to join you who are also on Discord who signed up as well!

Some helpful info:

Set connection speed to T3 in the options menu so you don't lag when joining the server.

Controlling your AI backup : If 2 or less real people playing you both get 3 backup ai, if 3-4 people you each get 1 backup AI, and more than 4 people playing there are no backup ai. You can give them commands press H to hold, J is for rules of engagement and you can hold down action key (space or f?) on a door and see the options for Frag and clear, etc etc. Very useful to use AI backup. If you right click to execute order command it will wait for you to press zulu go (, key) left click is immediate execution of order or point up ahead and you will see the grey icon (white means you will do the action not them)
you can tell them to move ahead of you to clear a hallway and building for example.

Also for some of the new scopes and sights on the ALLR6 servers, press ALT to turn on the magnifier like when using the G33, also ALT changes the crosshair style on some of the sights, and if you hold ALT it changes the colors!

AUGUST 2021 - Please note there is also a new server list update minor patch if you want it. It allows you to see the ping in the server list and some other things again. You just copy paste. Just an update rather than making a whole new thread. The next map is coming out should be sometime in Feb. Its going to be set in the middle east in the mountains. Its got caves too! And a sandstorm in the middle of the mission!

I will also be releasing a remastered map from Rogue Spear Covert Ops! Operation Lucky Snare will be remade from scratch for Rainbow Six 3.

I cant express how much im amazed by the Game itself, and the Framework the Developers gave to the Players so they just took over the Support for the Game and keep it running for already almost 20 Years. Thats true dedication and shows how good a Game has to be if its still kept alive and is still being played for such a long time.

indeed. Sucks that the R6 Vegas games won't be able to enjoy the same longevity. Hopefully the people from there will come to Rainbow Six 3. If people get past the old school graphics. They will realize how amazing the gameplay is. Its simplicity too is its charm. As it harnesses your skills as an operator.

Hi - Really want to pick up this game again, so I installed the patch. Before and after installation, when trying to launch the game from my steam library I get a General Protection fault, and the game wont launch. Any ideas how I can resolve this anyone?
