Rainbow six Rogue Spear on Windows 10?

As i lack in finding a good forum i ask fellow classic Rainbow six players here if they know how to get Rainbow Six Rogue Spear to run on windows 10? For me i just get a black screen for 3 seconds and then it turns off.

I have been hoping and praying to play rainbow six rogue spear for a few years now. Im at the point where I am thinking about just having a second laptop with retro windows to play... If you ever figure it out please let me know. I am super skeptical of even downloading this game.. If you havea legit link please help me out. Good luck! I really hope someone figures this out soon... DTD mods and all... the good ole days.

Yeah, I really hope that steam maybe could add it or some other website. On GOG.com there are people that have made a petition type thing where you can vote if you sign in on the website to vote for Rogue Spear to be added, here is the link https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/tom_clancys_rainbow_six_rogue_spear

I have it working including covert ops, and urban ops in Windows 10, Nvidia GTX1080ti, 3770k. @ 1080p

First you need to download this WINED3d. Get it here: https://fdossena.com/?p=wined3d/index.frag

Read the "Readme" file. And look at the dx7 or older games part. Follow the steps in the Readme file!

Open RSConfig(.exe) Select your gpu and audio device.
DISABLE play videos (none of it wont work if you dont.)

Launch game selected game or addon.

Menu music wont work. In game music and audio does. I dont know why. If anyone has a workaround please let me know. Also the video/movie playback would be nice.
You might have to disable video/movie playback again after installing addons(Covert ops...).


There seems to be a bug that happens occasionally in my games. The cross-hair fails to load on mission start and in requires a reboot of the game.

Check out Rainbow Six: Black Ops. Every mission from RS 1 to Black Thorn. Works with DgVodoo and probably others.

Yeah, I gave that a try a while back.

I don't know if my memory is bad but the Rainbow squad AI was atrocious. I mean, terrible. It's like their cone of vision was about 20 degrees in front. I gave up by the time Angel Wire came up and they kept dying like headless chickens.

Made me appreciate Raven Shield's and SWAT 4's AI that much more, I'll give it that.
