How can you edit mod maps to change night to day in maps?
So I dislike maps which are dark and dinghy and night time maps. I would like to convert maps from night time to daytime.
I realize that I need to use unrealed.exe to do this but I'm completely lost in how to actually accomplish this. Seems to me that I might need to add a directional light source (aka sun) and that should provide dynamic lighting and turn the map to day map. But how do you actually do this? Is there a tutorial to use unrealed to edit rsm files?

I watched this - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ceQX08ITdHM and part 2. Looks like the guy who made SupplyDrops mods made this video and while I'm really grateful and it is a good tutorial, I don't see a section on controlling lighting or turning night maps to day.

There's also https://www.unrealengine.com/en-US/learn but it ls probably for a diff unreal editor version as none of the stuff seems to be there or apply.

Does anyone know how to do this?

In general, is there a simple - how to make mods for R6 tutorial? Step by step with an example simple map say with just one room and lighting?

lol there is no easy way to do this. You will have to edit the Sunlight actor as well as change the Ambient light level in the ZoneInfo files for each zone.

As well as probably go and create your own light sources and change the existing ones that are on whatever map there is to make it more daytime like.

Alternatively... just turn up your gamma when you are playing.... in console... type gamma 2.0

Thanks. Oh well... I'll look around how to edit the sunlight actor and change ambient lighting in zoneinfo for each zone. But in general is there a nice easy to follow map making tutorial anywhere using this editor which is used to make mods it looks like?
