if you mean SinglePlayer I'm afraid not. Seems all the newer games are MP only... and you know what happens when the MP dies. The game dies too.

Yes I meant singleplayer. :( sad indeed. I'll stick with Rainbow 3 in the meantime. I had hopes for Ready or Not, but dont think they been doing a good job.

I also have Ground Branch as my next purchase.

Another thing and I'll be honest here, I offered a clan some money (over $100) via donation for their server bill and all I asked in return was to be able to use some of their custom maps for my own personal single player use and they said no way, thought I was out to make a server to try and undermine them lol.

When you have mentalities like that in the community it makes it hard for games to survive. Not many want to share to keep the game alive. Where are they now? Their main server doesn't work and I never see anyone active from their group anymore anywhere.

Now compare this to a game like Unreal from the 1990s, still going strong today even considering the age of the game. And I'm talking the actual game from the 90s not just the series. With R6 only RvS is still active from the OG (the games after are different style and not geared towards the fanboys from 1998-2003.)

Hopefully someday we'll have a nice successor game that covers all the bases.

You might enjoy Doorkickers. Top-down, real-time (with pausing), SWAT-esque stuff. You can either plan the mission out and watch it unfold hands-off, or take more direct control of a unit. Nothing quite like the ol' Raven Shield though.

You should check out "Zero Hours" its kinda EA, but devs listerning to community and the next patch will bring up the community for a bit (hopefully). it's fun as a coop game
Zero Hour is looking promising. Its more like Swat 4 though. But it has similiar coop and planning phase is minimal but they are trying. Join us for some online coop sometime if you want. We are also doing a giveaway for ZERO HOUR on the next map release for Rainbow Six 3! http://www.tactical-gaming.net

SWAT 4 is kinda close to this, except you're not allowed to shoot terrorists on sight unless they aim a gun at you or a hostage.

I bought Zero Hour but it is not for SP whatsoever despite their claims. Also it is very beta as in missing tons of features. You have 1 grenade! And you can have a shield but can't fire with it so you have to absorb some hits and switch to gun with few bullets and make sure you get headshot which is tough while crouched due to limited range.
No silenced weapons. No fire rate change.

And I beat level 1 with 23 enemies after 2 hours and then level 2 has 40 enemies. Not to mention the map is mega dark at night with night vision goggles that are bad.

It is virtually impossible in SP imo and it seems to be interested in PvP which I don't want nor care about and want PvE with AI squad and good AI enemies and maps.

The graphics are amazing though albeit the menu design is bad with unskippable 60s time wasted before every mission.

Overall, Zero Hour is a very raw and they need like 3-4 years worth of improvements at the rate they're going.

"Ready or Not" is supposed to be SWAT4 like and I preordered it but no idea where it is. There's no beta either thus far. Alpha was supposedly badly done.

Overall everyone wants $$$ from MP games and not many want to make good SP games these days.
