1. A tip for using the new sights and scopes on the servers - you can press ALT to switch the style like some have two in one such as the G33 which is a holographic with a magnifier heh. You can also hold ALT to change the crosshair color on some of them, or press ALT to change crosshair style - You will see as you experiment with them
2. Another thing many people don't know about the game, you can underhand throw nades, use ALT button as well for that instead of throwing it with left mouse button
3. Controlling your AI backup : If 2 or less real people playing you both get 3 backup ai, if 3-4 people you each get 1 backup AI, and more than 4 people playing there are no backup ai. You can give them commands press H to hold, J is for rules of engagement and you can hold down action key (space or f?) on a door and see the options for Frag and clear, etc etc. Very useful to use AI backup. If you right click to execute order command it will wait for you to press zulu go (, key) left click is immediate
or point up ahead and you will see the grey icon (white means you will do the action not them)
you can tell them to move ahead of you to clear a hallway and building for example

HI there i´m wondering which difficulty you play on. I´m using twi´s ai mod and the tangos seem to bee a bit trigger happy when it comes to the hostages while playing on elite, especially on the mission you posted here but when i turn it down to veteran nothing happens to the hostages.
I play on Elite, with a ltl tweak to make the tangos less trigger-happy with the hostages, and some other stuff to make it more realistic.
There's a downloadable file here: https://www.moddb.com/games/tom-clancys-rainbow-six-3-raven-shield/tutorials/guide-to-install-a-heavily-modded-raven-shield-for-single-player
Then if i made it far enough into the building i used the few seconds youre able to move until we get the summary screen to check on the hostage in the main lobby and she is always still up.
I assume they take out one hostage in the basement or there might be some strange bug that is occuring.
Maybe i just messed up somewhere during the modding process, well who knows.
Well nevermind, seems like i made a mistake editing the mod files but hey good job on the modding stuff by you and all the other guys involved !
