HeistGeist is a story-driven RPG set in a cyberpunk version of Central Europe. Play as Alexandra, a professional thief for hire who's desperately trying to stay alive after her last job in Venice went terribly wrong. So. I've played the demo.

During this nextfest, I've played around 15 different games and I must say this one is the one I've liked the most. That said, there are some issues: - in some places, (tooltip) font is way too small. - you need to hover over cards to see their synergy. Maybe a different card color for different synergies would make it better. - option to speed up/skip animations...

Demo Feedback

Really enjoyed the demo, but I totally broke the game. By the end of the combat simulator, I killed the boss prior to it moving and I had max health, tons of shield, 10+ haste, and a Storm of Swords that was doing 50+ damage (one shot the boss). I love decks that can churn and draw, very powerful in card games. Might be a little too overpowered here, unless you intend to cut down an enemy slowly and then blast him away with a final blow? https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3154339303...

Demo Feedback - A Game I've Always Wanted

Ever since I first played Slay the Spire, I had one lingering thought: "What if there was a game like this, with a sort card battling system, decision nodes, and so forth... but it was an actual story-based game with linear progression that didn't just reset when you died." Amazingly, this is that game. I'm so glad someone else had the same brainwave. Right now, I love this. Everything is basically perfect. I love the strategic deck-building, I love the upgrading of cards, and I even like the hacking mini...
