Not launching

Downloads and installs fine but when I try to launch game nothing happens. Steam says it's running but nothing loads. Nothing on Task Manager etc. Tried restarting game, restarting steam, re-installing the game, restarting pc, tried disabling specific programs that might interfere as recommended by steam's FAQ, verifying game files all runs smoothly and reports no issues are there, other games all working fine too.....but playing game from steam or from local files, I get ''preparing to launch'' as normal, then nothing. Can't seem to get any support so requested refund but been looking forward to the game since announcement so wondered if anyone else had an issue or solved it?

I had a similar issue.
Mine crashed on initial launch, and then when I tried to verify the game files it had a disk write error. I uninstalled, went to clear Steam's download cache (Settings > Downloads > Clear Download cache), restarted my computer, and then re-installed. Everything worked after that.
Don't know what the initial error was, but hopefully this helps.

Just wait 5 to 10 minutes at the loading screen and it works...At least for me

Здравствуйте. Установила игру, надпись "запуск" в стиме есть, а игры нет. Ждала долго, почистила кэш загрузок, уже не знаю, что делать.

Update:
Support asked me to try running as admin which didn't work and also updating Epic (even if playing on steam) which didn't work but they have let me know it's a known issue and they're working on it so maybe just keep an eye on updates for now

When I initially launched I received a long winded error message from Epic about an install error. I uninstalled and tried again. Same results. Noticed that Steam said I was currently playing Blanc so I just closed the Epic install error window and the game proceeded to let me progress to the title screen without issue.

Still having the same issue, and none of the patches so far have resolved the issue

I had the same issue. My solution to this problem, I found "Epic Online Service local application" in processes and closed it, and then the game started.

I'm having an issue as well. It gets stuck on the screen with the message about not exiting during saves. I tried uninstalling, restarting my computer, closing the epic online service, and letting the game just sit at that screen for a long time and it never got anywhere :(
