Cross-platform compatibility?

Hi, I plan to play this from my PC (with a controller) while my friend plays from their Nintendo switch. Would that work?

I would like to know how the online stuff is working too, just got a game that had hidden it's ubisoft connection (third account or client i forgot).

I would like to know if you can play it single player too, just in chase I don't get anyone interessted in this particular game. One of my friends doesn't even have a PC so Crossplay could be interessting.

PC players will be able to play with each other (Epic & Steam). Nintendo Switch players will not be able to crossplay with PC players.
