Same problem here. I have about 6000 units of food and countless markets, which are filled with several types of food. But still... people are hungry.

I'm on Year 9 , and I have found that the "Hungry Icon" means the person is hungry means exactly that, hungry If you click on the person, sometimes a pop=up will say "Hungry-going to to dinner" However, that does not mean "Starving" per se. After work a worker may be going home for dinner, and a "Hungry Icon"is shown. but its a "normal hungry" after working all day. But it is a little alarming to see it because its like a red flag which incites panic because they appear to indicate starvation. Hope this helps. There is probably an "Icon" for "Died of Starvation" that lets you know if they starved to death. Just kidding.

Hi...no i get the whole hungry from work and other things but there is a bug where dozens of people run from the main hall into the sea and basically commit suicide. It will happen until the population drops by 10-15% sometimes more. I have clicked on these people and where they live and where they work and there is plenty of food in the local market but they dont take it to their home or taverns. So there is a major issue with what gets stored in markets. only having 200 units of good in there is ridiculous. they fill it up with flour or berries or meat but nothing else there is no variety. apart from that there is still the issue of the people not collecting for to take home to eat.

You prob need more markets, I never have had hungry people in towns over 700 people. But I have about 6 or 7 markets spread all over. Make sure you spread them out as your town gets built out. Same with herbalist huts, firewood shacks, etc.

I encountered the same issue and discovered the solution (at least in my case).
To fix the problem, follow these steps:

1. Open the Market prompt menu.
2. Go to the 'Supply' section and select 'All'.

In my case, the supply mode was set to 'Only Selected', but no suppliers were actually selected. This happened because clicking around in the menu can inadvertently change the supply mode.

To avoid this issue, the game should require users to click on a specific option to confirm the mode change or provide a warning prompt, such as: "Caution: You've chosen 'Only Selected' without selecting any suppliers. This will result in your market receiving no supplies and your population starving."

I hope this helps !

I have seen the same thing, I found that if I save, quit and reload it solves the issue. The downside of this is that everyone appears to drop what they are holding meaning there is work to recollect those resources.
