Story Question

I'm a huge Red Storm fan and haven't played this one, my question is did they follow the book's storyline, or the white-washed, P.C. movie adaption?

I haven't seen the film, only read the book, but from what I remember, this game has zero actual connection to the events in the original story. It's like a spinoff -- separate, unrelated events running parallel to the events of the Tom Clancy story.

It follows the plot of the movie, loosely. It's kind of it's own thing, but it's based off the movie.

But as a side note, it does run parallel to the GBA version, so some missions are referenced in each version.

My theory is that the John Clark version in this game came before the formation of Rainbow just as in the film. In the movie, John Clark was asked if he loves his desk job.

It was a movie tie-in and the only good aspect of that movie is that this pretty decent game is related to it.
