Auto buy - level ratio?
I might be a bit stupid here but can someone explain to me how the level ratio works in the auto buy when choosing carpentry?

The way I do it is I calculate the ratios with the upgrade you have to highest level on, so probably auto kiwiker if you're using carpenter.

Let's say auto kiwiker is set to a nice round ratio of 10, bag stuffer is set to 5 and likiwifier is set to 1. It will buy 5 bag stuffers and 1 likiwifier for every 10 auto kiwikers.

So, let's say you have 210 auto kiwikers and your ratio is 10. Divide to get 210/10=21 Now we can take that 21 and use it to calculate the other upgrades.

First let's do bag stuffer

You have your bag stuffer at ratio 5 and for every 21 auto kiwikers it will try to buy enough to equal 21*5=105. Let's say at this point you have 160 bag stuffers already. Since you have more than 105 it won't touch it until you satisfy one of two conditions: You increase the ratio of bag stuffer enough where 21*x=161 or more, which in this case would mean increasing it to ratio 8 as 21*8=168 but 21*7=147 so below 160 OR You buy enough auto kiwikers so that x*5=161 or more, which in this case would mean you need to have 321 auto kiwikers as 321/10=32.1 and 32.1*5=160.5 which is always rounded up. Unless the game has weird rounding I actually have no idea.

Now do the same with the likiwifier.

You have your likiwifier at ratio 1 and for every 21 auto kiwikers it will try to buy enough to equal 21*1=21. Let's say you have 20 likiwifiers already. Since 20 is less than 21 it will try to purchase the upgrade once you have enough money, but when you do you have now hit 21 and it will stop. At this point it's back to either of the two conditions having to be met: Increase ratio of likiwifier enough so that 21*x=22 or more, which in this case would basically mean increasing it by any amount as increasing it to 21*2=42 is more than enough. OR Buy enough auto kiwikers so that x*1=22 or more, which in this case means having at least 220 auto kiwikers as 220/10=22 and 22*1=22.

nah mate, you aren't stupid, it's a badly designed feature - my bad

I'm looking to completely change it in the next update

I like the idea of automated upgrade buying but it's a shame it's bound to one tree. I feel you'd get most out of it with the other two since you're actually there when you reach thresholds to buy. In the tree it's right now it feels a bit redundant.

yeah, all professions are getting access to auto-upgrade (although carpentry will still get the strongest version)
