Offline progression?
I did a run with Carpentry, closed the game for 2-3 hours, come back and I didn't notice any progress.

not yet in plans as the game was originally designed to avoid the usual grindiness found in the genre, and generally even a couple of hours is already very significant for progress

that being said - a considerable minority of players seem to miss it a lot, so I might reconsider it once I'm done with the pre-planned content updates

I came here wondering if the game was bugged as it wasn't progressing offline.

I think if you made it clear on the store page there is not offline progression then it would make things clearer

really would love "some form" of offline progress.

I think an easy "fast solution" would be ; let the "fortify" value check how much time passed sinced you closed the game. (Sure, some people could cheat with the systemclock, but its a single player game, so who cares if they dont want to play the Game :D... )
I think that would help , because lets be honest : When not at home , no one wants to let his PC run hours over hours just for an idle game.

Personally I think all forms of cheating is wrong, single player or not. But that's just me.

Yeah, same for me, with the exeption of the "Contra" 30 ExtraLife code 30 years ago :D

but still.... i could not care less if someone does it in their own Singleplayer Game...

I will say that you have a profession that is all about letting the game sit around idle for a while, so you have a game mechanic that requires you to have the game open but idle, which isn't a great combination.

I haven't played much yet since I started the game yesterday but the idle job seems to be very weak compared to an active, autoclicker playstyle. Which makes the game a VERY active game and well, it's not really that good for a clicker/idle game, if you want to make real progress you have to be constantly playing the game otherwise you're gonna make a very slow progress.

At least that's how the game feels like for me for now, maybe I'm missing something or I went the wrong path on the transcendance tree but if I have to leave the game opened for 5 hours to make the same progress I did by playing 20 minutes, there seems to be some serious imbalance.

I love this offline progression update.

But some information on progression report seems to be incorrect.
Like, here: https://i.imgur.com/1EYjwBY.png
The game report 0% Fortify from offline progression. However, it actually increased 1,662%. ( I quit the game last night at 60% Fortify. And I when I resumed this morning, my Fortify value went up to 1,722%)
