Any help?
Core-i5 4460 3.2Ghz
Asus R9 270X 2 GB
Corsair Vengeance DDR3 16 GB
Only Running Steam, AMD Radeon Catalyst, and AMD Raptr in the background w/ game tracking.
Any help would be great, people.
1. go to the Main Game Folder and you should see the application executable, i.e eib.exe
2. Right click, select properties, and then compatability mode tab.
3. Set compatablity mode to Windows 8 (or anything above).
4. I also set "run as Administrator" to on. These basic steps should be enought to run the game without any further problems
5. Finally, the last two things I did is I set OpenGL triple Buffering to on and limit frame rate target control to 60 fps through the AMD Radeon Control Center options for this game specifically. These are additional steps, Im not sure neither saying that these are absolutely necessary. Game should run fine with just the Compatablity mode settings switched on.
One last odd thing I encountered is that when the game launches, Steam overlay appears to be disabled or unable to pop up as regular via Shift-Tab. Too bad, as this means I couldn't control the game via Steam Controller.
Right click the game and select the "Local Files" tab. Click "Browse Local Files". Right click and Edit "EIB.INI". Control-F to find "StartupFullscreen=True" and change it to "StartupFullscreen=False". Save the file. Brothers in Arms will now run in windowed mode without crashing.
It's not as good as Full Screen mode, but as none of the various methods I found using Google worked, it's a lot better than nothing. This fix probably would have worked on my Retail copy of BIA as well, but I bought the Steam version in an attempt to fix exactly this issue. Oh, well.
This fix also works for Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30. The only difference is that you edit "BIA.INI" instead.
Just bought it today.
Runs in fullscreen, and can even alt tab out of game without issues.
Only had terrible FOV on my 21:9.
Changed it too 98 FOV in the ini files, forced AFx16, 4X Super Sampling, SweetFX and SMAA on my R5 1600 and R9 Fury X rig running Win 10.
Game even supoorts my custom resolution of 3840x1600 and above 60hz.
Running win 10, i5 2500k and an amd 390
