the 3rd game is terrible. the fact that you can aim from third person in cover to take out enemies far from you in one shot ruined the entire series.
the first 2 games are so good because your guns arnt 100% accruate just like in real life. so its more satisfying when you hit an enemy. the game is not hard at all. its only hard because the checkpoint system is messed up.
dude if guns worked like this in real life nobody would die in war to guns. You can be literally 4 ft away from an enemy and aim dead centre their chest and somehow the bullet will fly straight past them
Also, in war getting shot at would make it difficult to be accurate. That is an aspect I think the game captures well with weapon sway. If you take your time and focus on flanking to get larger hit boxes on enemies it makes taking them out much easier. The other thing to note is sometimes you may hit an enemy two or three times before they are killed. You will see this in the game when you are around buildings. There will be blood spatter on the wall behind the enemy who is still returning fire.
Do that tutorial and take it slow in the beginning. Look at your surroundings and find flanks. Then once you see the enemy take your time with your shot. I do have issues with invisible walls at times but if I have a clear shot I typically always hit my target. Good luck! Truly great games.
If you really want to learn how to play Brother in Arms, be sure to use your fireteams. Have them suppress the enemies so you can go out and flank. Take advantage of your fireteams 24/7. There should also be an overview mode where you can look at the map to see where you, your fireteams, and the enemies are.
Back in the day, the game would come with a manual and there would be the 4 F's.
1. Find him
2. Fix him (with fire)
3. Flank him
4. Finish him
Medal of Honor Allied Assault was a much harder game for unfair reasons.
This allows you to freely suppress enemies without worrying about resource management or shot placement, then creep on them from the sides whenever possible.
Fire the BAR (the very large automatic rifle you get for most of the game) very often, it does a lot of suppression. Once the red circles are greyed out, move your squads to nearby cover (right click on cover) and order them to suppress for you (right click on target), then you creep around for the kill.
Alternatively, you can tell them to assault (right click, then hold left click on target) while you keep firing to punish the germans for peeking out, but this is usually a bit harder to control and you'll usually end up trading for squad damage. This all works on the Difficult setting so it should be dandy for Easy.
