Seriously, no volume settings?

I'm lucky enough to have a speaker volume roller on my keyboard, but why the heck did they decide to not allow us to control our volume? At default the game blew my eardrums out.

I know exactly what you mean. The last two chapters especially; 'The All Americans' Castle assault and final assault on the '88. It's friendly bombing from the B-26's above. It is too loud. Earsplitting.
