How historicly accurate is this game?

So I have been playing Brothers in Arms Earned in Blood and I notice the awesome story it tells but I wanted to know. Is this game historicly accurate?

Not really, a lot of it's based off Hollywood. They took some real stories and used them in-game (like in the extras), but that's kind of it. Hell's Highway doesn't really try to be historically accurate though, it's barely even a tactical shooter with regenerating health.

I wouldn't take the game as historical source material, the characters are fictional, except for the Battalion and Regimental officers. The locations and actions are however the only thing in this game that are truly accurate. Its most likely just trying to cover the key actions that were executed by the 101st Airborne during the Battle of Normandy. Replacing the actual men who fought those actions with the game's fictional characters. Either way, I am not bothered by that at all.

So, kinda confused. I just wanted to know if the people were real and the storys not the locations which I know are real.

From what I can find out BIA is considerd one of the most historicaly accurate FPS ever made, the characters in the game were inspired by real people and they tried to get what you experience as close to what the soilders would of gone through at the time and the battles they fought without comprimising the game play.

For example Road to hill 30 was based on the 502nd paracute infantry regiment and mission Albany.

If you goto the wiki page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brothers_in_Arms:_Road_to_Hill_30 and look up development it will tell you what they did to make the game.

Altough its not a sim or a renactment they went far beyond what they needed to to get this game to where it is which is why i get pisse d off when people like laff come on and say any old ♥♥♥♥ like its based on holywood and clearly havnt got a clue what they are talking about.

Im going to sound old here but without these games being made and in such detail I think the past couple of generations would know a lot less about 2 of the biggest wars the world has ever seen that have shaped how we live now and cost millions of lives.
