holy water quest

For the holy water quest, what exactly is the quest asking me to do? I already got the water data and w-herb data already but the quest isn't progressing.

You need to combine it in the craft menu with I think pure water ( you should get that by talking to the other main character in the village with the stump houses) and I believe 3 blue data that you can get by playing one of the gacha machines that consume silver coins that can spawn in the expeditions.

Is there a requirement to make the gachapon spawn? I've been on a dozen expeditions with nothing special spawning. Don't really feel like wasting a perk point on the increased chance perk.

As far as I know its just random but its not bad to use a perk point.
You get a qi- pill from a professor looking guy at the entrance to one of the towns that can reset them.

you say water data but as per mine it says "blue data" I've been looking for it in the tropical islands but still no luck

The sodaspot in the grasslands expedition will have them, use the third machine and it'll provide the colored data drops. The fourth will provide ones for water, ice etc. both of these use silver coins.

Is there a recipe for the holy water itself that I havent found? I am so confused with this quest.

Edit: I figured it out I found out I forgot to battle the other main character a while back.
