I'll have to try the demo of this. I don't always mind the chatter, just depends on the characters and the kind of game it is I guess.
And what about the main character, cause I have heard he talks all the time.
Are you unfamiliar with the concept of tongue-in-cheek humor? I like to have fun when I ♥♥♥♥♥.
Besides, it's a trend in the industry, and has been for over a decade. Many games do this in their final release. They probably have a few people on the inside showing them some kind of market analysis that tells them tik-tok kids (and the like) will get disinterested unless something is talking at them every few seconds.
Either that, or they're woefully incompetent, because that's pretty damn hard to miss. Yeah, demos are usually based off of old builds, but they're usually also polished up because they're being presented to the public as a marketing tool and first hands-on impression. If nobody at the office booted it up for 5 minutes and noticed there was a problem - because you don't even have to do anything specific at all to see it - then it doesn't speak well of the developer in that scenario.

For all disabled voices you will still be able to see subtitles.
This actually works? The repetitive dialog issue is a big one for most of the players and you have a workaround 😦 Have you made an official post about it?
This would be the closest thing we have to a fix.
Unfortunately, this doesn’t work for sound effects like 'Here we go' and 'Whoop!', but overall, it makes things much more acceptable.
