99% of the gameplay can and will be done in vehicles. If you can summon a vehicle, summon it and you will be breezing through the section. But there is again the gated progress for you need to advance in the main story for your material maker to upgrade their wares, which leads to a side quest for that upgrade.
But the damn 1% of the game, that can't be done with vehicle are either "Boss fights" (Very special boss fights, in which you are fighting in person) or the frickn excuse of stealth (Infiltration of military base for mats and parts, and yes, its awful)
