lifespan, content, etc.
hello, have there been any clues as to the game's lifespan, content, etc.? should we expect a 10/15 hour game or more than 35/40 hours? thanks :)

Honestly depends on what metric you go by. Speedrunners will probably be able to beat the game and have records between 2-5 hours, strict story content without skipping dialogue or potential cutscenes will probably be somewhere between 5-15 hours, and all sidequests and exploration without skipping dialogue and cutscenes will probably be between 18-120 hours. I know that the ranges are strange, but I am operating on speculation as well based on other games that use the Open Area Action RPG formula. Borderlands games can be quite short or quite massive, Far Cry can be quickly beaten or take forever, Bethesda Fallout can be really short or really long, etc... I think it matters more how you approach the game than some arbitrary advertised number that could be widely off the mark. I've seen some games advertised as being 40+ hours that could be casually beaten in a single sitting of like 5-10 hours.

Yes, but there is a middle range. We can still know if the game has a lot of content (side quests, side activities etc.) or almost nothing other than the main quest ^^ the last games from anime have all been a disaster in terms of lifespan, so for this game I expect nothing but I ask anyway can be surprised sometimes ^^.

Looks like it'll have the content that's in the anime (roughly double what's in the manga volume), and then some more that's side stuff and customizable stuff. So, take that however you will.

Someone is going to beat this game in 4 hours. I will probably only be halfway through after 30+ hours lol

I have 8 hours in the demo, im expecting at least another hour or two in the full game.

Now I know you are trolling. There isn't 8 hours worth of content in that demo unless you left it running and walked away to do something else. An hour or two more in the game? wtf are you even talking about? If the demo only has an hour or two more content than that demo it's definitely not worth a buy.

I haven't played the demo, but if the game doesn't have a minimum of 35/40 hours of content (main + secondary, of course^^) I'll have to pass.

Nah, I play it a few minutes everyday, just to check out the vehicles, trying to master the combat etc. Strangely Im really interested in this game, it has everything I like so I preordered it.

I plan on putting a ton of time into it. Op id imagine there is easily 50+ hours of stuff to do.

according to the tests that have just arrived, it's 30 hours if you do everything (i.e. the main quests + all the secondary content) and around 15 hours if you only do the main quests. Personally, I think that's very low, too bad.

15-30 hours to low? Wow the gamers entitlement over some things. Its perfect spot for 15 hours. Back in the day we had the most fun time with 10-12 hours games

he thinks its low, that sounds like an online gaming service mentality, so he's looking for the wrong type of game since most games now or days can be anywhere from 15-40 hours.

I watched live streams yesterday, some people had 8+ hours in and still hadnt unlocked the hovercraft, most only had 3 vehicles out of the 30.

Side note : The updated Sandland official page talks about flying jets, so I guess aircraft are a thing at some point.

Not sure how far back you are going I remember it was common for single player rpg games to have 80+ hours worth of content. Have you ever played any DQ or FF games? If this 30 hours is true then this sounds like RPG light.

I don’t think there is entitlement in being interested in games that promise 30+ hours of playtime. I look for long jrpgs because I’m hoping for a long journey and interesting story that good or bad I want to get lost in. That is just my interest, I don’t think it’s wrong to be less interested in shorter games, unless you’re insulting it on the way out. I grew up on final fantasies which typically are always above 30 hours minimum to beat, and that’s just what I’m into.
