SAND LAND

Racing is fun at the start but gets hardcore pretty fast
Seems like bad design to dump most blueprints behind racing when so many of them are an end game thing due to how tight times are

The Jump Bot races are on the tight side, but the traditional races are actually fairly lenient. If you get the race lines down, you can easily beat the expert races with mid-game parts.

I have lv20 parts and barely beat the buggy begginer course in forest land and expert in sand land. lv20 parts is like 70% of the game not mid game. Mid game is like lv10 to 12.

I did the Expert Buggy with 12-15 parts and had some seconds to spare.

What level were you when you got those parts? Part of the game?

What about the forest track?

I'm halfway through forest land and still using the lightweight mod and flat-twin engine because nothing better so far drops. I'm hoping the boost passive bonus of the 3rd character helps a bit with all the races.

I think I was lv16 when I got the parts to luckily drop in Sand Land. I used a V2 Engine which requires Lv14 and the base Mobility Enhancer also from a drop. My EX Chips were the Speed Boost green and the Boost Recovery green that I think were in boxes in Sand Land, both requiring Lv11. I did not change those parts out until I was already past the Dune Buggy Race in Forest Land when I remembered I could upgrade the bloody thing, and the only upgrade I had came from a drop off of the Spades Boss during the bounty which requires lv27. For that Forest race, just take the Right Side Path and use the shortcut. After the shortcut, stick as close to the center path until the second or third winding forest path checkpoint, there is a pipe with a road piece in it that you can use. After that, keep as much as you can on the right side when you reach the sandy portion staying as much on the road pieces. Biggest word of advice is to never let your boost overheat as that can actually end up slowing you down. Time it correctly during the winding section and you are golden. If I make no sense, I apologize, it's been a few days since I did the race and had my mind occupied with the Ranked Matches and getting the final achievement.

The blueprints doesn't matter from my observation because they only go up to dark blue tier while enemy drops are epic, legendary, mythical for all 4 slots (weapons, engine, suspensoins). As soon as you hit high lvl you swim in better items after a handful fights especially the bounties: Want tank parts? Do tank bounties and so on for other vehicle types and the geji dragon drops 2 items for any vehicle.

only the canyon jump bot ones frustrated me, but I did get timegated early on
I still managed to beat the Forest Land buggy race with a blue suspension but I did manage to pick up a legendary engine

They should have made racing into a minigame instead where you can get shot/knocked out by opponents. But instead of it being timed and having to restart after any mistakes you just need to place first in a 3 lap race.
Mario Kart is a lot more interactive than time attacks, has more replay-ability too.

If anything, I wish we had more races for all of the non-jumping vehicles. I really did not like the Jump-Bot/Hopper trials. I might have been too fast on them at some parts because I constantly ended up under boulders, or landing on them as they fall causing some weird physics interactions, costing me time and making me have to restart.

It would be easier if there werent contrived railroad tracks in random portions of the track that inexplicably kill all your speed and launch you into the sky

I just cannot get first place in a motorbike race. Can anyone offer suggestions on better engines for better speed?
