Retired racer, what did you choose?

Laius can craft you a custom part, and since they seem to be mutually exclusive, I'm kinda hesitant on what to choice, as I would like to prioritize what would help me to get the first score on races.

For the custom engine, it's a reskin of the V2 engine.
I assume the other one will be the same.

I chose the custom part and still use it endgame, major speed increase.

I chose the suspension based on the speed acceleration to get me top speed in short distances, such as the races. Top speed is okay but with all the quick turns, etc, it was better to have than the engine's top speed boost etc.

That aside as you can upgrade your bike fairly high enough if you're exploring a lot and grinding the mats and going to caves and peaks for chests while you explore fluidly, providing for an easier way to upgrade your parts. A few trial and error runs will result ya 1st easy enough.

Haven't been able to finish it can't find Standard Cable anywhere.

Think I leveled up too much everything is lvl 18 and drops quality stuff even in the first areas and the Cables aren't in the material shop just the general store which still only has B-grade.

I'm not sure for the level thing as enemies were already lv 20 when I started that quest, either way the chests scattered around should definitely have the cables...

Are you sure between shop and crafting shop materials you can't get in any way the cables?

I checked a bunch of shops unfortunately I religiously open chests so I've been looking but again mostly quality stuff in new areas the few standard chests I found had no cables.

A google said drops from junkers(which are all quality now) and peddlers caught like five between towns and in various towns but no cables.

I used a bunch upgrading vehicles I think wasn't considering that they'd never drop again.

Have you checked also travelling peddlers? Some of them have items you can't get anywhere else (check also those near campfires).

If you still can't find it in shops, just progress with the story, the more you progress, the more materials you can buy/craft, so you should be able to find them at some point.

I might just keep going then spent a lot of time looking in shops.

Was just worried since I have like 5 new shops in town but the general store which seems the place that carries cables never seems to get better stock.

Cables of all levels seem to be either very rare drops, or you have to buy/find them in very specific stores and chests.

Exactly! Heck I am just now getting to the point where I we explore a whole new map I didn't think existed. I thought I was nearly done with the campaign but now I get to fully explore a place after Sand Land... I don't wanna spoil things for others. But yeah, I'm nearing lvl 30 myself so the gear I get sometimes is pretty good but I can't use it yet until I get the mats I need to lvl up my vehicles (which are main quest locked sometimes or found in the new map I am about to explore).

just save first and then load the save and look at both and see which is better for you
