I wasn't impressed, but decided to still give it a chance.
Also, don't expect an informative answer a question like that on day 1. It's mostly people who are already hyped about the game responding, even when there are clear issues and a game is sitting at like 40% rating people on forums defend it.
Nah it doesn't. Its overpriced for what you get. There is a reason that it peaked at 1,016 players and is already dropping lmao.
If you look at the review score on the store page you'll see right now its fairly positive.
It's a pretty good game. It's not particularly difficult in the beginning, but ramps up near the end - and the post game has some pretty cool features.
It's not really a traditional open world game. It's more like an open world metroidvania, meaning you have to come back to areas with newly obtained vehicles to open up new caves, and loot. There's a lot of cool hidden weapons and stuff. The dungeon music will put you to sleep though.
It's definitely at the very least a 7/10 and that's coming from somebody who's been really into it. Personally I think it's an 8/10 - but it's bound to be divisive because it has a lot of PS2 era design elements.
I wouldn't really say there was much hype over this game at all, and honestly a lot of people lost interest immediately after playing the demo (despite the overview trailer showcasing that the game would contain a lot more than what the terrible demo showed off)
The bosses can be a lot of fun, and there's a lot of optional content that tests your builds, and skills at swapping between mechs and using Belz's powers.
I agree its not the traditional open world game and it has many segments where the gameplay changes to something different.
Its not game of the year by any means but its definitely not a bad game
