well bs is what you usually get from how long to complete answers as everybody plays at different paces and does different amounts of exploration, secret hunting, deaths, and (in other games) quicksave/loading around mistakes, combat practicing, and general fooling around for the fun of it (like i wonder how hot are those lasers, or how deep is that cliff).

as well as some count the time played that the game tallies up from level completions (cough civvie cough) which is often way less than what steam says you actually got for hours played

No modes.

All the different pairs of shoes are mutators. Changing anything from having kicks give ammo to making everything in a level have low gravity.

Every level is timed so you can compete against your best times as well as go for 3 challenges for each level (Kicks only, Finish level in under 1 minute, No damage, etc).

Maybe understand the argument before flying off the handle and insulting people while demanding they 'stay away from forums'?

Tallying up just 'level completion times' in a lot of games removes the time that could be spent on, say, an in-game encyclopedia, bonus modes, alternate levels, etc. In games with save systems it also tends to not count the time from dieing and having to redo sections either.

and you are clearly angrier than you need to be. my point was that the game tallies do not line up with the time you actually spent playing the game. like if someone spends an hour+ completing a level but died a couple times, the game may say something like 40 minutes because its not counting the play portion from the auto saves to when they died and thus saying 40 minutes when in reality an hour of gaming went by on a real clock. or with me recently in Selaco it counts 8 hours in game, when I've messed around with it for around 11 with maybe 1 actual death but not everything gets counted as secret exploration session gets abandoned or various screwing around like trying to get out of bounds or quick loading a few times to practice melee combat mechanics. and don't forget custom/extra levels in some games. or some games you may have to quickly repeat a level (and overwrite its previous tally) to get more resources like forgive me father 2's madness bar or Prodeus ores in early levels that you can't obtain until getting double jump later in the game. these and many more reasons is why i say that as long as you don't afk for long periods of time with the game open, then looking at what steam says for hours played is often far more accurate than what the in game counter says.

3-4 if you are very good at shooters and play levels fast
5-6 if you are decent and just play at a nornal pace, but only play levels once
7-8 if you are trying to get 2 stars for most levels
~10 if you are going for 3 stars for all levels and maybe looking fir secrets

I suspect median time would be around 6-7
