I mean, yes? Adding fail states is a way to help give a sense of accomplishment, since it was entirely possible for you not to succeed. If you look over the course of video game history, the classic fail state is dying.
Even so, I assume that its more rewarding to beat a challenge if your life is on the line. Its strange to make a game about doing a dangerous thing and not include that.
Ultimately, it could be a difficulty level set in options (or when you start the game).

Very much agree with you..
It's a beautiful game and very calming to play but i was really hoping for mecanics similar to 'The Climb' VR games where you have some sort of challenge and replayability.
Well you said yourself not every game is for every player.
Why do you feel the need to call someone a moron because they don't like something you do. Just take a chill pill and think about being a better person.
