Monk help. (Halls of Steel)

What's your main Monk strats on the harder levels?

What's your normal set up items and Kin ? Any default strategies that I should try out?

I've finished Halls of Steel with a few other classes, but I don't really know how to maximize the monk to great effect. Any general advice for the class would be helpful.

You almost always want to be playing Orc with Monk. Prepping Shield and Fine Sword makes your early game feel really stable, and once you find the Orb it shouldn't be too hard :)
