Need help - Too difficult
I've started yesterday and can't beat any normal dungeons now (after slaying the 2 vampires level for the Dwarf and Elf) - I read all kind of tips and advices (I really like the game but becoming a bit frustrated).

Here's how I'm doing it:
- I always try to kill higher level.
- I use lower easy kills to reach my levels.
- I even try to keep Lvl 1 to petrify them for later, in order that they give me more than 1 XP (i.e., beating a Lvl 6 and being lvl 6 would give me 9 XP, so +2 than the lvl 1 I would have consume).
- Keeping potions for boss
- Exploring ONLY to restore life and mana.
- Converting all my glyphes.
- Getting the shield or sword to start.

So, you see? Trying a lot of strategies. But when it comes around lvl 6 or 7, most of the map is already explored (even with the eye spell). I read that you should focus on the boss, but, nope, lvl 10 doing 75 dmg when I have 91 life, 2 potions (giving 40%). No way. It needs about 7-8 shots.

I really need to understand - Is it me or the game is just THAT difficult?

Fire spell is your friend.

I tried (again) minutes ago. Human, Thief. Was lvl 7, stuck against 1xL7, 3xL8, boss L10, no fireballs, only first strike (that I was using, probably help me get THAT far). I even strike higher levels to reduce them BEFORE going into mobs to increase my level. Boss killed my 1 strike.

"- Converting all my glyphes." Well, maybe don't do that.

... when it's not useful anymore.

Level cannoning, worshiping a god (Taurog is quite good for melee characters), solid kin / class combinations (Human + meele and Elf + mage for the beginning), knowing and utilising your class perks. Try to avoid killing higher level dungeon denizens with spending potions and other valuable resourses without a really serious reason. And don't forget to upgrade and improve your kingdom when there is a possibility to do it.

Level sling-shooting is a great tool. So you do what ur saying above ... but also, try much harder enemies that dosent kill you in one shot - use mana for spells like fire etc. then hit them first (takin alot of dmg from them) then slingshot to full hp/mana again by leveling against something else like alot of lower enemies in between (without going into the dark n healing the big guy).

Overall, dont lean much at all on the whole healing by darkness - heal by leveling!

It's hard to tell without seeing you do it. Your description of what you do doesn't sound inherently wrong in any way.

Here's an example, just reached L7 and this is what remains:

2 minutes later...

No even close to getting L8, no more space to recover health. Any advices are welcome.

Fireball is a garunteed spawn in the dungeon every time i think.
Also i believe using wanfyt (the gylph that summon same level enemies while stunning them) or the one that swaps spaces with an enemy while stuning them is better than the first strike glyph is alot of cases (main because a slowed enemy both give +1 exp if killed from that hit but will also be unable to strike first even if that have first strike themselves.

Also it quite important to state which dungeon you are attempt as 4 dungeon are unlocked upon beating the bankers which the red text in the descriptions state have wildly differing dificulties to complete.

@lex - Fixed the screenshots.
@Xenith - Western jungle, which seems to say it's a 'good option for players who need to build up a little more experience'.

Is there any youtube sessions where I can have more info? Of a discord server?

I really want to get good at this game.

Ok, joining their discord server and will see if I can get some help :(

First thing that comes to mind, don't take the shield. The +4 sword would probably help more in the early stage. Also, as you're using the thief don't forget that potions recharge health and mana. That really goes well with the hit-fireball-WEYTWUT combo. Of course you shouldn't waste too many potions early.
Human is slow to start so no need to trade in your early glyphs for some meager attack bonus.

And don't use the fireball on the boss.

I hit the same wall you did, now over it thankfully. A couple of tips that helped me (others might want to correct me, I am by no means experienced, but this is how I got over the hump you describe):

1) The Taurog god gear makes life a LOT easier for non magic characters, almost makes some of the early stuff trivial. You can get 3-5 death protections, which makes bosses super easy early on.
2) lean heavily into your classes unique attributes, I was trying to play too generically with all classes.
