Spend 80000 admin coins req for Shin Jia skin too much?

I really dislike that there's such a roundabout way to obtain a skin; It doesn't make sense to give it this asking price either when most people only spend to a certain price point which is at most top-up until they hit pity for a banner character they really want but didn't hit with their f2p currency.

But this skin price tag is basically forcing one to somehow be interested in getting 7 copies of Maria for example, which is a total waste of expenses in the diminishing returns sense, like it's not needed to clear any of the game's content at all. But on the other hand there's nothing to spend on once you're all up-to-date on your roster and have all the 'normal' skins you'd want as well.

Tl;dr Shin Jia is my waifu and I'm being locked out of obtaining her skin because the asking price (indirect) demands you to spend heavy on stuff you're very likely not interested in nor have a need for. Just let me buy the skin directly for a more reasonable price (its ok if it's way more expensive than other skins still). Sheesh.

it kind of made so u invest more into the game overtime since it over a long period of time.A free to play game has to give a reason for big spender to spend. The skins in general tend to cost a decent amount if u just look at the holive collab we had lol.

In all honesty, it is kinda whale targeted, but gigawhale is something you likely won't see in this game. Even this skin is just a few hundred bucks over almost half a year.
If you compare that to the cost of maxing a char in genshin or whatever.. yeah. This is cheap. Spending not even 100 per month is hardly anywhere near the top of whaling. It's like buying a full price game per month.

80k isn't the price for the skin though. The skin is just an extra. This is important. You can't directly get it, but that's life. Plenty of special kind of stuff out there you can't buy directly, but only win via lottery or by pledging a whole lot of money on kickstarter or whatever.

Just ignore it. It is mostly for whales but over the 4 months there was a way to get it without going nuts. But you had to have started day one and ended right at the deadline. Either way like they said it is a thank you to the whales. Thank you whales. You keep the game running.

That still feels impossible to hit if not going for Awakened dupes :\ like I'm at 20k admin coins spent atm, got Maria and the Carmen skin (as in what I spent some money on recently), literally up to date on everything. And it feels wrong that this is a whale symbol to the point that people who don't care about flexing wealth and just want the skin because it's their waifu get priced out of it like this.

Also lets be real the skin is not a 'bonus' like someone said lol, the rewards leading up to the 80k admin coins spent are all garbage literally only tactically placed in there to make it seem like they're not completely ripping 'normal' people off with this. Which they are. Like if this was 1/3rd of the price I'm sure it would still count as a whale flex and I bet a buncha more people would actually bother spending then to try n hit the skin req.

Imo this is a bad business move. Like even aside from the point I'm making regarding lack of purposeful stuff to spend on, in other gacha games when there is a piece of premium content on offer they always balance it around 'newcomer whales' aka the price of that content equals around the total price of all the first time x2 premium currency packs, which is like ~$200 (AT MOST). The fact that a mere skin, an item of which the purpose is literally cosmetic to give your character a new look, overshoots it by a margin this large should cost the person(s) who decided this their job(s) tbh. Like you do not understand the gacha business model / psychology, please go flip burgers at McD's or something, before you run this game into the ground with your stupid decisions.

What else but a bonus would you even call it? If you think there's nothing worthwhile to get for that amount of admin coins, then that's fine. No need to go for some heavy spender bonus, when you don't see the use. (i.e. if you get into pvp aimed operator or gear rolling, you WILL be EASILY spending 80k admin coins)

Again not true, if you know what to do then you will simply spend your accumulated Planet points (is that what they're called? The yellow points you get from pulling banners) on a PvP oriented operator dupe such as Serina; these points are easily accumulated over time from the free 5/10 daily pulls they hold on pr regular basis along with you spending a 'moderate' amount of money to top off Awakened pity in case you don't hit it. So you can max operators steadily this way so long as you play daily and keep up the $7/month admin coin sub. And gear rolling really depends I guess, it's only true if you're RNG cursed and desperately need x piece to roll x.

And yes but the meaning of the word bonus to me and prob many people is a 'side dish', not the main dish / reason why you get something. Nobody is going to spend 70k admin coins to get everything except the skin for example unless it happens naturally (which, I would find spectacular, either this person has no idea how to manage their resources or please teach me how you spend it purposefully lmao)

But either way, can we just say they for sure screwed over the waifu interested part of the CS community with this price point (which is the part that skins are supposed to be aimed at, especially premium ones)?

And this is the intention from the devs. They want you to spend your money in this game, doesnt matter if you want it or not. Gacha games are predotary and using FOMO is worse.

Take my advice and just ignore those skins. Especially in a game where the future doesnt look bright.

Yep I know, but I do also think if you disagree with something then it should be clearly voiced/expressed with arguments of why you think so. Maybe it ends up having no impact, but it's still better than letting devs sh*t all over their core players without saying a word about it. It's true that only a few top spenders make up the majority share of a gacha's profit and sustainability, but you don't have a playerbase aka not a game if you chase the rest away with excessive demands like this. + Combining all the 'normal spenders' together is still a sizeable chunk of income as well.

Yes, I totally agree with both what you said about the expensive skins and expressing his/her opinion.

But I believe the game wont last that long :/
