However, this is where Ranked compensates. For those who want the real pvp experience, that's what Ranked is for.
So why bother trying to set a good defense team each week when you can cherry pick higher rank opponents to revenge against for more rank points than you'd normally get for your attacks. Since the rewards cap out at 6000+ points for Challenger 1 ranking... as long as you can maintain above that point who cares? To even attack you somebody has to be within a hundred rank points generally.
The actual fighting is done over in RTA where the rewards are higher and the bans apply to both sides.
That's why I do it. I hate this grinding stuff. I just have level 1 team and stupid ship that doesn't actually do anything. So I'm still amazed when I get a win because you have to really try to lose to my team of level 1s.
The defense side is no random. Only the attack side is.
Defender: Deploy in order set by the player, but bans apply
An awakened jake with full maze +10 isn't exactly easy to kill.
Weirdly enough, this also applied to Ranked for me? Unless I misunderstood. Units that were on the ban list, continued to be the same price for me, even checked it in battle. Idk if it was a bug, or I'm an idiot.
