Who plays couch coop on pc?

I’m always looking for more couch coop games for consoles connected to my tv…but rarely connect a pc to my tv.

Is this a common thing? Do people have extra dedicated controllers for pc couch coop?

Yes, it's common.
I use Sunshine/Moonlight to stream from my gaming PC to my living room TV, or my phone/laptop if gaming on a couch alone. I always have a couple of spare controllers for family and friends to join in games.
Parsec and other remote desktop apps also work for PC-to-PC streaming, or even simulating couch coop with someone online. I still feel Moonlight is the best for latency.

This. I have my TV hardwired (15' HDMI) through the wall to the lounge TV next room over.
I would've Moonlight/Sunshine'd it (especially re adding the Steam Deck) but it confused me at the time... I'm not the most SW savvy even though I built our PC's np.
Also, tried with powerline adaptors but no good here. They did great in the last house, as good or better vs the wifi speed but here we lose too much using them. Will absolutely need to find some clear brain time to figure out the streaming side as well as what's left undone on the Decks.

Anyway... HDMI to the TV works fine with wireless controller/m/kb at that range via testing. Not much latency at all and no drop outs so I guess adding a controller for split screen would be fine. Just need to find the time, figure it out and hope there aren't unforeseen issues (which tend to happen for me unfortunately)

Steam Deck Dock (+Deck, controllers obviously) makes playing that way real convenient, in my experience.

I have a PC specifically for couch coop in my living room, using a case that blends with the furniture (not a flashy rgb teenager rave party case, im 41 now) and ofcourse 2 more PC's for me and the wife for online coop games that are more demanding. Those are ofcourse, not in the livingroom.

2 controllers on bluetooth, same with a mouse and keyboard, we love couchcoop games and i look for more daily on Steam. Finding fun ones on the other hands....not that easy.

We prefer Tower Defence games or more casual stuff like Stardew and the likes, Kingdom Two Crowns is also great.

Anyway, this game looks right up our alley, hopefully its good.
