About building / craft ?

Steam page said it's like Subnautica and was wondering about building aspect and craft.
So it's a narrative game with some craft to help or has it a real aspect of underwater base construction and developpement ?

It’s mostly narrative with some crafting for consumable items (oxygen, ship repair, speed boost, beacon for marking locations), ship upgrades, and decorations for your underwater home. It’s not really necessary though besides one ship upgrade.
