Two weeks ...so we aim now to 22. December ?
I'm REALLY trying, yes. Computers are rendering images pretty much non-stop. My electric bill hates me heh. I really hate playing catch up, but it is what it is. On the plus side, I can tell you that it's worth the wait. The story moves forward by a significant amount with this chapter, and you will start seeing some of the results of your choices. Those results may not be outwardly obvious though. It's more about the nature of your character, and how the friends react to the things you do.
Those kinds of things will become more obvious as you continue to slide into the depths, or rise above.
Meow. ^^
I know. But I say it for a second game after finishing the first. :-)
Rendering: Will be finished Saturday morning.
Coding: Will be completed Saturday night.
Audio mastering: Will be done on Sunday (Yes, I'll be working through Christmas Day to get this work done!)
Beta testing has already started. My team has completed their review of the first half of the chapter, and will get the second half on Monday the 26th. Assuming no MAJOR problems (rare, but they do happen!) that means I expect to upload to Steam on the 27th, 28th at the latest.
Part of this is due to the addition of the gallery feature. Since it is brand new, it requires a significant amount of additional work, not to mention the extra renders! Note: You will NOT need to replay the game to enjoy the Gallery renders. Unlocking them will be retroactive, which means any scenes you've already played through will have their respective renders unlocked.
Another part is related to translations. I have recently gotten native translators for Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese. This is in addition to the existing native translation for French. Spanish and Portuguese will have the entire game (including C6) translated with the C6 update. Italian will have ONLY Chapter 6 natively translated, with 1 through 5 coming via patch later. German is coming soon.
Trust me, no one wants to get this into your hands more than I do. I absolutely love that you all enjoy my story so much! It gives me all the feels to read your comments and reviews :)
Chapter 6 is roughly 25% bigger/longer than Chapter 5 was. The average player can expect about 2 to 2.5 hours of content across all paths.
