Your Funniest Moments in the game - please without spoilers. :-)
Hello everyone.

As you may have seen from my review of Between Two Worlds, I am completely enthusiastic about this game and can only recommend it. ...and belong to the chorus of fanboys and fangirls who are eagerly awaiting the third chapter.

However, the game also has a few very funny moments that can sometimes pull you out a little or make you burst into spontaneous laughter.

For me, it was Emily's comment about her knowledge of literature, in which she said that she had seen erotica that "would be forbidden in countries like Germany".
Being from Germany myself, that made me wonder. What should that be ? Child pornography probably not and sexual acts with animals - also rather unlikely, especially since she assumes in the context that these erotica would be freely available in her country (presumably the USA, since culturally everything points to this) - which would be strange, since in the land of the free the legislation on sexual depictions is far more repressive than in Europe. Keyword: exposed nipples. xDDD

I just suspect that an error on the part of the developers has crept into the game here, which is now causing some confusion among locals, followed by a smirk.

What were your highlights ?

I repeat here once again: please do not spoil, as newcomers might also read this.

I did the Germany thing more as a play on their recent (at the time) "moral" push against adult games :P

I hope people post in this comment thread! I really try to incorporate solid humor in the game, and seeing that people enjoy it is awesome!

What kind of push is/was that ? With my 36 years I am probably a little older than dear Emily and I can't remember having experienced any change in this field. O.o

And off topic: keep up the good work ! :-D

I think your work is great. ^^

Since apparently the response to my call is somewhat muted (not surprising for a discussion forum in a small game of a niche, like visual novels), I want to make another point here myself. If only so that the more shy among the players get a little incentive to become active ;-)

Once again it's a statement by Emily (you may not believe it, but she's actually my favorite character, even if I criticize her here) - namely that the bard in D&/Pathfinder is the most useless of all classes.

In fact, it is one of the more useful classes, being the ultimate support character.

What does that mean ? Well... he may not be as army-devastating as warrior or even mage. He may not have the world-shaking divine healing and destruction spells that druids and clerics can boast of, or the high damage potential (some instant-kill) of rogues, or the wilderness safety with simultaneous damage output of rangers.... but he is the ultimate supporter and gap filler.

Example: we have a rogue who specializes in traps and sneak attacks. He will have very high stats in finding and disarming traps, as well as stealth - but since he doesn't have infinite points, probably not in social talents or pickpocketing.
Since the group may also need these talents at some point (and the bard can increase them with ease), he can invest his points there.

The same goes for lower-level healing spells, whereupon the cleric suddenly has those slots free for buffs and low- and mid-level attack spells.

The mage can reserve support spells that are also on the bard list (also an arcane magic user) for more fireballs, and if the ranger is ever overwhelmed by the sheer number of enemy cannon fodder in ranged combat alone, the bard can target them and thin them out while the pro takes on the enemy bosses.

To top it all off, the bard is by nature a specialized scholar who can rival any mage or cleric when it comes to mundane areas of knowledge and magical items, and pushes the effectiveness of the party with his empowering bard music.

In short, bards are something you have to know how to use, but after that, they're the tipping point that tends to be underestimated. ^^

I burst out laughing with the turkey line of the main character in the beginning of chapter 6, the one that annoys Emily. I really couldn't hold it together. It so reminded me of Asterix in America with Obelix explaining his hunting tricks...

The way Kenny wins his argument with Oscar at Fen’s farm.

SO Bards. Well if you have a party of four you are better off having the four pillars covered (Arcane Caster, Divine Caster, Rogue, Tank). However once you fill out those four I agree as a 5th, 6th, or higher extra character Bards take the cake and boost the party a lot.

I would like to add to the funniest moments Kesreis summary after receiving the ring of the main character.

Personally, I wouldn't have thought of sexualising it, but she's simply right about that interpretation. ^^
