New player - How do you play the Engineer??

It feels like I just summon some 'bots and then walk around avoiding damage without any real input on my character's end... Is this accurate, what am I missing?

Nice community. Yes, every other minion class in every other game you had an option to direct minion attacks. Guessing this is your first ARPG if this question upsets you.

Some classes totally depend on minions. New elemental chick is crazy minion dependent. But that is what she is. A minion class. When an ARPG has this many characters to play, some are going to be more boring than others.
