- all heroes now free except newest;
- story acts 4-5 deleted for good, reducing early-game grind;
- coop now working;
- ability to get pets by playing;
- some systems optimized, like there is now only one overall 'attack speed' for all attack types;
- less shinenigans with auras, you can't put 5 auras in same slot anymore;
- better, more precise crafting;
- better and more adjustable maps system with separate skill trees.

For me those reasons were enough to give this season a go, since i skipped like 1-2 of them due to annoyance listed above.
New Season as always when the player count is above 200.
But this season is boring. Nothing eventful. The entire pay to win budget went into Arcana's breast animations.
The season itself offers nothing interesting. And the economy is borked already thanks to p2w loot pets being more of a thing than ever before.

Possibly the biggest reason is how shockingly average Path of Exile 2 turned out. Bored me to death. I levelled 3 chars to mapping and jeez that game is DULL.

Same for me tbh, I started playing TLI as a "lets try something new while i wait for the new poe season" and I stayed for various seasons because of the ammount of QoL that this game has, it just makes the game much more comfortable to play

I was watching a stream while eating before getting on poe2, streamer raided to some guy playing this game. It looked alright and the game was 'free'. I don't know that I will return in following seasons (that really depends on how much they lean into those p2w things), but it is a nice change of pace to just be op without having one shots everywhere and (mostly) deterministic crafting.
Also, I have 2 poe2 characters in maps and 4 others most of the way there. I need a break while ggg adds more content. Its not really fair to scream (not saying he is, but everyone on steam page is) about the quality of a first-week-of-ea game for a game that actually treats ea as ea (as opposed to games that launch the full game in "ea" and stay there forever as a shield from critiques and to abuse steam mechanics)... but it is very dull in endgame atm. They need a few months to add more. One might even say, they need about the length of a season...

That’s steam only also. Count in the mobile gamers as well
