I can't even remember my account, it's been 4 months or longer since I have played. I for one am going to stop playing especially when my account information was stored on your server when they logged into the game.
Season 3 sounded nice oh well, have fun. Free to Uninstall.
1. Check on the new account detail panel. You should see something similar to this
2. You need to unbind your steam account. Before that, you need to bind your existing account to a unregistered TapTap/Google/Apple account.
3. Close steam client and restart
4. Click on “Agree” on the user agreement notification
5. When you see the following notice, click on “Bind to Existing Account”
6. Click on your old login method: Taptap/ Apple/ Google
7. You should be able to find your old season characters on the right server
https://torchlight.xd.com/en/news/single?id=22955
1. Start the game and open the account center from the menu
2. Bind the account to taptap/apple/google account that HAS NOT been bound to torchlight before. (must be one you didnt use before, just make random new gmail account)
3. Unbind the Steam account.
4. Be sure to log off from Gmail account in Google.
4. Close the game and restart it from Steam.
5. Game will ask you to bind an account, Pick your OLD Gmail (one you used to register to game) account from selection.
6. Now you got access to all old characters and bought stuff from season 1 and 2.
Hope this helps :) cheers
and it seems really to be like this, reading some tips here from other people:
"2. You need to unbind your steam account. Before that, you need to bind your existing account to a unregistered TapTap/Google/Apple account."
Why the fückedyfück do i have to make another "unregistered" TapTap account?
I made one last season when i started the game.
So, to get acces to all the stuff from last season, i have to make a second
"unused" account? I ALREADY HAVE ONE ffs.
Then you could at least made it that people start on the original bound account.
But no, suddenly i get set on a steam bound account automaticly instead the TapTap one i used last season.
wow.............just wow.
I am sorry you want me to click on a user agreement on a language that I cannot read? Not happening.
I enjoyed playing your game but I am not agreeing to something I can't read. i19n.
That's an uninstall for me. I am glad I didn't invest a lot of $$ on this game.
The next problem is that to follow your instructions and unbind the account is not possible, because when I choose another Google account, it wants me to go through a verification process to "make sure it's you!" that requires me to use a mobile device which I don't have. (I know Google is basically mistaking the game login attempt as a mobile login.) I am just using Google on my PC. There is no mobile device associated with it to complete that process.
I was able to correct this by hitting the (...) button and choosing SIGN OUT, then when signing back in, I used the Google account associated with TL: Infinite to log back in and it returned me to my normal account with all my characters intact however there now seems to be no way to bind this Google account to STEAM since it now says the STEAM account is already bound and due to the reasons above, I don't seem able to do anything about this now.
I don't know if you have any other solutions to this situation but it seems to me like one of the only ideas I can think of would be to kick everyone out and unbind all STEAM accounts, then have everyone log back in and repeat the process once you are SURE it is working correctly. (But this poses a danger I think to anyone who only has a STEAM account now and isn't using a third party login.) Though that seems extreme and I hope there's a simpler answer that won't cause even more turmoil around this issue.
Or would it be possible to add an option in the Account Center to "bind current account to STEAM"? Doing so would delete any existing STEAM account (there would need to be a warning screen for this I imagine) and bind whatever account you are currently logged into, to STEAM instead. That might be a less disastrous way of dealing with this.
For now, signing out and logging back in with Google got me back into my account and back to playing, so that's basically problem solved for me for now. I would like to bind it to my STEAM account too but not unless the process is definitely working smoothly!
On the plus side, the terms and agreement message was now in English.
