No. DI requires you to pay for access to the best loot.

This game has no paywalls, energy, stamina or timegates. You can get enough elite spirits for free and legendary spirits offer only a slight boost above the elite pet of the same archetype.

Some classes are paid only for 1 or 2 seasons, but all classes will be free to unlock eventually.

that's just not true. the legendary pact spirits have one good effect but it's not remotely majorly game changing. maybe 1-3% difference overall it's nothing.
