Absolutely don't play - Gacha, P2W, and now even worse.

So i tried the game out after seeing all the bait "Free to play, only cosmetics, really good new ARPG" videos.
Joined the discord to see discussions on the game.
Learned about the P2W pet gacha. Then about the 100€ trait gacha.
Absolutely crusaded in the discord for a change, hoping to stir up the waters - and i did, we now have an annoucement that they're looking into it, after a lot of heated discussion.
Now, jump to today.
Disgruntled mod and some random called me out on it, citing i'm crying (and yeah, in the end i did care a little too much), and that, believe it or not, i do this because "i'm poor".
When i rebuked back, proving i'm not poor - in the most cringe but only manner - and i do it because it's morally wrong to have such a monetization system, i get muted for three hours, by the same mod who called me poor. Not to mention the guy joined the mod team that same day.
Now i lost hope. Don't play, just don't, and avoid the discord and these developers. Just move on, and wait for something worth your time.

Edit: I won't reply to copers. False advertising, P2W, Gacha, it's inexcusable. Don't fall for the cope. Not to mention the mods ban you for talking about it.

Players can spend thousands on that... We can see this eevery day with every mobile game raking insane amount of money, and not always given by the wealthiest players...

The only game that i accept having a derived system of gacha is Xenoblade Chronicles 2 because it does not involve spending real money...

Fully agree. But XC2 is a 60€ game you have to spend 300€ on a console for. These devs have to make money somehow, but yeah, it's about the gambling encouragement.

There is one really popular story about a man who nearly lost his family over lootboxes/gacha and a few more about kids that spend their parents' money in such games. There are lots of people who spend more than they should but usually it is not a life-breaking amount. There are thousands of broken families or dead people because of gambling. When you equivocate the two you are just being self-righteous and show you do not understand the extend of the damage done by gambling.

I've been reading some posts about this game since I just saw a LazyPeon video about it and it looked interesting. Then all the posts are mentioning P2W, predatory monetization, MTX and so on.

Then I realized the users Elvone and Astasia are in all the posts I just read defending the game, and that's interesting to me. No matter how much I like a game, I would defend it once or just in 1 post, and then let the game speak for it self, but this 2 users are defending the game in every P2W post....

You just can't deny the evidence. You said that reddit post is missinforming, but can you prove your point? Can you deny any of the things that they are mentioning on that post? Can you deny that you get pet/stats with real money?

P2W is not about (in)significance as someone told before, it's about IT IS P2W or IT IS NOT, as that user said before it's a binary thing, there is no in between, it's like saying "I'm pregnant but only a little".

I aggree I don't care that much if the game comes with no PvP, but I can't deny there is P2W since you are literally more powerful paying money.

I agree with the users in that I would buy a game if it is good, and even would buy DLC's, but I guess game developers have not enough with that and want to try to get as much money as possible. God I miss the times when you only had to buy the game and enjoy, you could enjoy online multiplayer for years with a B2P game, so there is no excuse now other than make MORE money.

Thanks for the info! Real shame to, game looks good and I wouldn't have cared TO much if the game was P2W, so long as they were upfront about it, but if they bait-and-switched, thats a huge red flag for me. Will be giving this game a pass.

All their counters to the arguments, try and say all the paying options are "side-grades" and cosmetic. In the same post he says buying power is not pay to win, because its not more powerful (purely based on his opinion)
