The labels for teams system
It's been there for a while but for now it still seems like it's for user's personnel use. I wonder why didn't they give free inputs?

Since game is cross-platform, team comps along with names need to be saved on server. I guess for minimizing DB sizes? Labels(flags) instead of inputs means this now can be stored as integer easily. Also no need to deal with weird characters.

They can also easily analyze what the players doing for different modes / debuff-systems.

It is able to be localized, maybe they can make some quick SNS team sharing system around that - a screenshot of your team for some certain labels, including composition of identities and EGOs. I think it can help to spread the game wider.

Maybe an in-game check-others-teams system? So english players can see what the korean players doing, etc. Probably in future season we gonna get a mirror metaverse, all the managers unite and we can talk about our love for Ishmael altogether online.

While I too think the tags thing was done for the memory conservation it does not excuse the absolute mess of the choises that are available. Hell, we still have no haste or fragile option. Honestly, they had a tag system in ruina for quick card search, why not adapt it to limbus?

The speed gremlin and angry British bunny will beg to differ.
ye the tag sections is a bit lacking. for now BL and N corp will remain as TEAMS #1/2
Can we like collectively come up with what tags should be included for the tag system to work if not optimally then just adequately?
yuri, yaoi, genderbend, old, tsundere, kuudere, chinese

No NTR so its ok.
come to think of it, we dont even have our own names lol. i can see why custom usernames currently dont exist but i agree that its strange they chose labels over just naming a team.

more social features in the game would be nice

Names would be cool, but right now friends are just glorified id dispensers. There is little to no player interaction other than religiously checking your friends RR banners to see if you got less turns.
Careful, Steam might snap at you too for saying anything about C**** (the country)!
(Also godammit why do I understand all but one of those tags... :P)

Would've indeed been easy to just let the player make their own display string for their team, though I guess they probably didn't want to bother with the phone keyboard UI for their crappy mobile version.

Well, if PM wasn't as lazy with their cashgrab, they could've indeed used the tags to help search for matching IDs/E.G.O or the ability to filter teams by tags to better quick-select them for the relevant thing you're about to do (MDs, XP, Threads, etc).

Also doubt they'll do much in the way of research, as this is merely a cash grab by their own words. And there's no player interaction beyond sharing a single team (which a pity we can only share one, but otherwise I guess even a new player essentially gets 100% content acces instantly if befriending a player who shares all their teams).

Completely acceptable.
At least it's not "H-handholding" *blushes profusely*

Speed and Defense Level Up was going to be real, but then they stuck to the 7 gimmicks. It totally was gonna be real if not for MD 3 though.

Fragile though... What?

I think you answered your own question(s). I'm almost certain the reason they implemented the team labels like this is because they are technically stored server-side, and doing them like this allows them to be stored as binary, rather than strings, significantly reducing the amount of data they take up (it may not seem like much, but it can add up to a lot).

On a related note, the taglines players can select for their profile cards also come with this benefit of being much smaller in terms of data, along with the additional benefits of being "auto-translated" across all languages, and also preventing potentially offensive content.

Not that it stopped people from finding potential Innuendos.
I hope they add prisoners names so i can name my team "Don Quixote, Thrust, Ishmael" or "Faust, Sinking, Ishmael"
