More EGO Special Recipes?
I am disappointed that there is no special recipe for "VoraciousHammer + Carpenter'sNail + CrownofRoses". I know there's no real synergy between them, but I managed to acquire them in a Rupture-comp run and it got me thinking that there should be one.

Reminds me of the first time when they were released, i thought adding all 3 cost gifts would become something, nope, now i know you can see if its a fusion gift or not

There's a bunch of special ones that showed up with the intervallo MD theme packs.

From memory, Coagulated Blood + Biogenerative Battery is pretty busted for Charge.

I don't think there is a 3-pieces fixed fusion recipe yet though.

I'd wait for MD5. You might get rewarded.

"This absolutely nonsensical combination that had no reason to do anything special does not do anything special and I am upset." —OP

Let's look at the existing special recipes. First, the basic ones.

- Soothe the Dead: Combine two Burn gifts with names derived from funeral rites (Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust). This makes sense because, in many parts of Asia, cremation is the norm rather than burial.
- Bloody Mist: Combine two Bleed gifts, one of which relates to the idea of a red haze (Smokes and Wires) and comes from an encounter where dripping blood onto the wire is an option, and the other of which has oxidized iron (which is how hemoglobin works too) as a motif.
- Coupled Oscillation: Nixie Divergence resembles a nixie clock, although I suspect its name is a Steins;gate reference instead. Bell of Truth is a bell that can't balance itself. Bells and clocks have gone together for longer than any of us have been alive, so there's that. But moreover, the name "Nixie Divergence" implies it's measuring how far off something is from what it's supposed to be doing; since the Bell of Truth can't balance itself normally, combining it with Nixie Divergence might logically help with that.
- Enrupturing Trance: You wouldn't intuitively think sticking a bundle of talismans onto a battery would do anything, but they're both Rupture gifts from Canto IV bosses.
- Black Music Sheet: Once again, you wouldn't intuitively think combining some kind of Unseelie with a headless portrait would do anything, but this time there's really no hint either, unless you get Headless Portrait from the abno encounter; and even then, it's kind of difficult to think the forest outside looks like Faelantern's, or to realize the scratches on the walls are sheet music. Still, an attempt was made to put in a hint.
-Lucky Pouch: Combine two Poise gifts that are also items considered "lucky". Easiest one to fighre out.
T-1 Perpetual Motion Machine: Not entirely intuitive either, but Wrist Guards and Material Interference Force Field are both "protective" items, and they both have the Charge keyword, so it checks.

Then there are the ones from Intervallos, which are all very easy to figure out. Watch hands + watch casing = watch. Blade + hilt = sword. Biotech + prosthetic = improved prosthetic. Biotech + crystallized blood = improved biotech.

And now the hard ones. Most of these are created by combining two gifts from storyline bosses, one of which is the final boss of the canto, so there's always a hint in that respect. But there's a secondary hint in two of them as well.
- Hoarfrost Footprint: Haunted Shoes are shoes, and Baba Yaga's all about feet..
- Wholeness: Cause and effect; because the Nagul und Hammer scriptures teach that prosthesis is heresy, the Inquisition uses its nails to torture and kill anyone who has prosthetics, all in name of Wholeness.
- Unmailed Letter does not have a secondary hint, but the rest applies.
- Handheld Mirror does not have a secondary hint, and the Chief Butler wasn't even the final boss.
- Guiding Gaslamp does not have a secondary hint, and Sleeping Bag of Olden Days isn't a boss from Canto V. There's no reason for anyone to have figured this out except through trial and error.

So out of all of these, only four are completely obtuse...but not a single Special Fusion requires three gifts, so that alone should've clued you in that nothing special was gonna happen.

You can be forgiven for thinking Voracious Hammer + Carpenter's Nail alone would do something special, since hammers and nails go together. However, neither of them has any thematic connection to Crown of Roses, which originates from Sign of Roses, which is not a storyline boss, which gives Rupture and Bleed gifts rather than Pierce, and which has nothing to do with carpentry since the sign itself is held together by brambles.

And your rationale for thinking all three of them would have some special effect together? "I got all three of them on a Rupture run." There's this little thing called "coincidence," kiddo, and that's all that is.

What do you mean nonsensical? It should create something like "The Saviour's Stigmata". You know, the one our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ had.
